IQL History
Industrial Quimica Lasem was founded in 1947 in Barcelona. The company from its origins has always had the eyes set on export business which has allowed it to create a well established and solid external commercial network. Diversification on different sectors and specializing in selected businesses allowed to the Company having a constant, controlled and sustained growth over time.
In 2004 the Company decided to take a leap forward by creating a bigger and newer facilities in industrial area Pla del Camí in Castellgalí. With this action the Company owned bigger capacity production site and became one of the newest esterification factories in Europe.
In 2011, IQL was acquired by a strong Group with high presence in Asia in the production of edible oils and ingredients for food, pharma and personal care applications, The Nisshin OilliO Group. Since its acquisition, IQL became integrated within the Group and its Fine Chemical Division evolving towards the creation of multinational structures and internal procedures, as well as basing its growth on advanced technology and quality orientation.
